In the short story, All Summer in a Day, a girl named Margot gets harshly bullied due to the fact that she used to live on Earth and remembers the sun, which doesn’t come very often to Venus. During class presentations, Margot shares her experiences of the sun and her classmates starts to give her harsh criticism and give her a lot of unnecessary hate. Later on in the day, the kids expect to go outside and play in the sun for an hour as scientist had predicted to come once every seven years. When the teacher tells the children that it is time to go out and leaves the class temporarily, the children all team up against Margot and lock her in the supply closet. After coming back inside after an hour of enjoying the sun, they then remember that they locked her in the closet. The story then ends with a dramatic cliffhanger of the audience not knowing if Margot made it out of the closet alive. In my opinion, this short story was pretty good, due to its many details of the background of which Margot came from, and how the author was able to put together an amazing storyline.

Once there was a little boy named Evan.  Evan was illustrious for turning ordinary objects into legos, all he had to do was say a few magical words and they would suddenly become the cute little Lego-version of the object.  He had inherited  these magical powers from his great-grandfather that came long before. One tragic day, Evan thought it would be a good idea to test out the powers that he had acquired. So, he went outside stood on a rock and chanted the magic words. As soon as he spoke, he found himself standing on this now huge rock.

One day, Betty was taking a walk in a magical forest that she had heard has magical creatures such as fairies,giants,and talking animals! Betty loved to explore places and she wanted to explore this supposed “magical forest” to see if it actually inhibited magical creatures. She was  destined to catch a magical creature especially, a tree giant which she had heard of when she was little. So, she was walking around the forest and was searching for one. A few hours pass and she still has not found a tree giant until, she noticed one was standing before her eyes!

The tiny little girl wore a yellow dress to a birthday party that she thought was appropriate for the special occasion. But,when she arrived to the event, she saw that the majority of the kids were wearing dark colors like black or gray. She felt very embarrassed because she was the only one with bright colored attire. She was feeling very hopeless and was about to leave when another little boy that looked very thin, walked in with a shiny item in one hand and vibrant colored balloons  in the other. she was glad she was not all alone anymore.

I was dazed by a single star. Your  eyes meet with mine but I quickly looked away and you did the same. For that quick second I felt my heart beat faster and faster. I was getting really nervous because I didn’t  know how you felt about me, so I just carried on a casual conversation, just you and I. We were the only ones there at that moment. A few minutes later, you gathered up the courage and sat right next to me. My heart beating faster and faster as you talked to me. You pulled something out of your pocket and asked me to look at it. You asked for my opinion and I said it looked beautiful. After a few minutes of talking, you gave me a backstory on the beautiful necklace and showed me its true meaning. You gave it to me and the whole world was put on pause, it was only you and I in that wonderful moment. That moment sadly came to an end when I got really nervous and didn’t say what  I was going to. The words were about to slip out of my mouth when we decided to part our ways and hang out with our other friends at the event. I will never forget the night when you gave me that special gift that made my night even better that it was supposed to be! The End.

“Mom why do you have to follow me everywhere I go?” said Timmy in an annoyed voice. ” Your dad and I follow you around all the time because we don’t want anyone to take or hurt you!” said Timmy’s mother as they walked on the sidewalk of their neighborhood. “Your mother is right Timmy, we follow you around so no one will take you away from us, so will you please promise me that you will never leave our sight?” Timmy’s dad said in a casual voice. ” Yes dad, I promise.” Timmy replied. “Thank you Timmy.” Timmy’s parents replied calmly.

“Help someone please!” I yelled as I saw the Hairy beast climb up onto his rock. A couple of hours before this horrible incident was a good day, it started off with me telling my mother and father that I got an amazing opportunity to go on a safari journey to experience lions andtigers! I immediately sprinted to the tiger exhibit since I enjoyed watching the tigers play! As soon as I got to their habitat, I blacked out and fell in to their exhibit! When I tried to escape the tiger was blocking our escape and felt very scared!

“Mom, i’m going to be late for school!” I yelled from the kitchen as I packed my sandwich away in my white lunch kit. It is very weird because yesterday  I was very energetic and hyper for my soccer game, but today I am very sluggish and lazy! I hit my head as I hurried inside my mom’s car.When I got inside the car, I tried to charge my phone because it was on low battery and wanted it at school. When I got to my classroom I plummeted right in my chair,and eluded my way to the locker area.
